On a Sunday
morning, when we meet together to break bread,
everything is centered on our Lord Jesus Christ, so
that in all things He may have the highest place
(Colossians 1:18). The elements on the communion
table, the bread and the cup, are symbols of the
body and blood of our Saviour (Matthew 26:26-28).
The purpose of this meeting is to remember, adore,
worship and pay tribute to our Lord (1 Corinthians
11:23-26). The order of the meeting is very simple.
Various men will take part as they are led by the
Holy Spirit. Some may suggest a hymn to sing, some
may read an appropriate Scripture and others may
express worship, appreciation, praise or
thanksgiving to the Lord in prayer. There may also
be times of silent meditation, as we reflect on our
precious Saviour. The service culminates in the
breaking of the bread and the taking of the cup in
remembrance of Christ’s death.
All are welcome to attend this Breaking of Bread
meeting. Those who have put their trust in the Lord
Jesus Christ alone for salvation and who are seeking
to live a life that is honouring and pleasing to God
are welcome to participate in taking the bread and
cup. If you have not yet received the free gift of
salvation from our Lord Jesus Christ, or if you
simply do not understand this type of meeting,
please do not feel embarrassed to just pass the
bread and cup without participating (1 Corinthians
11:27-29).
Our second meeting on Sunday morning is intended to provide ministry to the church family. Here we seek to exhort believers from God’s Word to build them up in the faith and to preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ for those who have yet to put their faith and trust in Him.
This Sunday lunch, which takes place every 3rd Sunday, immediately following the Family Service, is a time when we can come together for a light meal and friendly fellowship. We are delighted to have started back again and welcome everyone to join.
A meeting especially for children is held every Sunday morning from 11am to 12pm after the Breaking of Bread service. All Sunday School teachers have been Garda vetted. For further details, please contact us. All children are welcome to come.
Every Wednesday evening, we come together for prayer, we bring our requests and thanksgiving to the Lord as a family. We seek to pray for the needs of our local church family, missionaries, government officials, and other needs that are requested. At this meeting we also devote time to spend in God’s Word for the building up of the assembly.
Join us for games and chats at 8pm on the 3rd Friday evening of every month. This event is open to all and doesn’t need registration. Drop by Fairview Hall at the location given below. We look forward to seeing you there.
